Plywood Volumes

Plywood volumes are a key element of modern climbing walls. They allow setters to quickly change wall angles and profiles while creating new movement possibilities and climbing lines. With only a few bolts, they add volume, complexity, and a distinct character to the wall. For route setters, structures are a versatile tool for increasing the variety of both boulders and routes, enabling more creative use of space and movement on the wall.

Production

Our structures are made from 18 mm high-strength birch plywood, offering a balanced combination of strength, stability, and manufacturing precision suited for climbing wall applications.

The construction is designed with the realities of climbing gyms in mind, including daily use and regular route setting cycles. The surface and geometry allow easy integration into different wall systems while supporting variability in both boulder and route setting.

The structures provide a stable base for different setting styles and help adjust wall profiles and spatial complexity in a practical way.

Precision processing

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology allows us to manufacture structures with high precision and repeatability, without the need for additional post-processing.

Each structural component is produced accurately, ensuring consistency and precise alignment between individual parts.

Assembly

Individual structural parts are precisely glued and screwed together, ensuring overall strength and durability of the structure.

Clean appearance

Surface finish

The surface is treated with a coating designed to provide sufficient friction while reducing wear during intensive climbing use.

In dual-texture variants, the surface consists of plywood finished with a two-component lacquer, providing high hardness and resistance to scratching and UV exposure.

The natural plywood texture, combined with any chosen color, creates a clean and contemporary visual appearance.

M5 steel inserts and M10 nuts

M5 and M10

Protective M5 steel inserts are installed at every fixed attachment point. They simplify installation, increase joint durability, and ensure long-term reliability during repeated handling and resetting.

Where the size of structural parts allows, M10 steel nuts are also installed. These enable flexible hold placement according to routesetters’ needs. Holds can also be mounted anywhere on the structure surface using wood screws.

CNC drilling

M10 installation

Thanks to an interchangeable head on the CNC machine, the cutting tool can be quickly replaced with a drill.

Holes for nut installation are drilled directly into each selected part. The hole pattern and spacing are programmed in the software to ensure consistent positioning.

The nuts themselves are installed manually.

Custom-cut parts

Based on supplied documentation, dimensions, or drawings, we can prepare precisely cut components for the production of custom climbing structures.

According to your requirements, we can pre-drill holes for T-nuts as well as mounting holes, significantly speeding up the final assembly process.

If you are interested in having parts manufactured for your own structures, feel free to contact us.
